EQUINE RESCUE

February 21. 2025

Dear Fellow Horseman,

Each year, hundreds of abandoned and starved horses, ponies, donkeys, and mules in Dutchess County await our help. We need to save these animals! Unfortunately, during the pandemic, many donations were not being sent in. We need to help Equine Rescue Inc more than ever. Please donate and help the rescue continue to be able to feed these rescued horses.

Join us on July 20, 2025, as MLC Farm and Equine Rescue Inc. (ERI) will host the 17th Annual Charity Horse Show to help these animals in need. Come and support this great rescue at MLC Farm at Little Rest Stable in Millbrook, NY.

Equine Rescue Inc. (ERI) has served the horse population of the Hudson Valley since 1996, helping horses, ponies, donkeys and mules who are in desperate situations. ERI is a not for profit organization whose mission is to rescue and provide care, rehabilitation and adoption services for abused and neglected horses. ERI receives no state or federal funding and raises all of its opening budget from private donations.

On Sunday, July 20, the day starts with a pole class at 8:00am followed by the cross rail division, 18" division and the 2'0-2'3, 2'6 Equitation and 2'3,2'6,3'0 Hunter Divisions. Returning this year will be the "Billy Leitch Hunter Classic" Challenge Trophy. Billy was a long time supporter and member of the Millbrook Hunt. Returning as well is the Jumper Trophy in honor of long time Equine Rescue supporter Becky Howard Pon. This trophy will be awarded to the winner of the 2'6 Jumper Classic. Jumper Divisions will continue throughout the day with heights from 2'0-3'6. During these unprecedented times, please check the MLC Farm Facebook or www.mlcfarm.net to see any undated information for the horse show.

A silent auction opens with the Show and continues until the end of the last Jumper Division on July 20. Promote your business by donating services or items - 100% of the silent auction goes directly to provide care for the neglected animals housed at ERI. You do not need to be present to win.

Please make a difference in these mistreated horses' lives. I hope we can count on you!

Sincerely,

Michelle Clopp
